locked in time..

it's valentine's day today and i'm feeling nice and warm inside, despite the chilly weather outside. i thought it would be depressing and couple-y all over town today and was dreading the potential lonely walk up to teriakis for dinner, but it all turned out well :) it's the first vday in a long time where i actually felt like it was something special.

i have to say before i go any further, nicole: you're the best friend ever and i mean it. that was one hell of a nice surprise with the barbershop quartet! when they came in, i knew immediately that all that oxytoxin nonsense you were sprouting was a secret ploy to get into my room and film the whole thing! awww u know i'd fall for a serenade and i did! how can anyone not with voices like those? (plus not to mention they were 4 hot guys in black tie singing just for me!) i need to find a way to top this.

everything went perfect today:
valentine's lunch with the girls and dinner with the usual gang minus 2 (both with valid excuses hehe) were really nice with the usual good chat.
i also totally creamed everyone at sup today (thanks to mich dragging me to waterstones to mug and almost forgetting a little something called the surprise acapella dedication at 5pm - i was quite suspicious why nic was texting mich all the time knowing i was with her too) and that is always a morale-booster.
we managed to scout around for costumes for cumsa ball - our table is going to look so so hot; glittery fedoras and feather boas are just a little taster of our outfits...
juno was such a good film, even though it's a bit ironic to watch a show on abortion on vday. the soundtrack was awesome though, quirky yet sacchrine sweet.
it's also always a pleasant surprise when you find out you've underestimated how romantic someone can be. oh phooey not to me obviously but to come up with a vday plan that would melt any girl's heart. awww.
and what doesn't make u smile more than receiving flowers on vday :)
