i'm being such a geek. i actually pay attention during supervisions to notice the jokes kojiro makes. like today, he said "when i was in liverpool, there were lots of dysfunctional families on tv. it seems that there's a higher rate of dynsfunctional family units in the north", to which lorna replied with a loud and indignant OI! ok, it isn't technically a joke on all accounts, but kojiro belongs to a different class so we'll give him that. haha
i finally booked my tickets to america amidst lots of hoohaa with the stupid website. the more we used it, the dodgier it gets: random price hikes, stopping over at detroit (which we decided was a city straight out of rap songs), and the incredible journey time for a trip which should supposedly take around 7 hours. somehow, the cheapo in me wasn't really awake. granted we chose the cheapest flights we could find, but that's out of the grand total of 3 websites we checked.
however, the ORDEAL IS OVER! now for the actual itinerary of the trip .....
eating something other than my own cooking is refreshing. i have now learnt/stolen the recipe for steamed egg with minced pork. my new favourite sauce: black bean sauce! yumm
